While in California, worked for a property management company. At that time, to be a property manager, it was necessary to have a real estate license. The company was small but managed several unique properties from condo associations to single family homes. After returning to Yuma and while employed by a local developer, I obtained a Arizona Real Estate License . Unfortunately, due to the recession in 2007, and thinking that it was no longer necessary to maintain a real estate license, it lapsed.

In the return to Yuma, it became apparent that Yuma had not only grown but drastically changed in population. There is a marine base in Yuma as well as the Yuma Proving Grounds where the military test various items (tanks, weapons, etc.) for the Army. The Border Patrol is certainly well represented not only at the border but a new sub station was recently built in Welton.

In the winter time in Yuma, our population almost doubles. Winter visitors come to Yuma for our weather. There are several large RV parks/resorts in the area. Once visitors have been here for several years running, many decide to become full time residents. Three years ago, my Arizona Real Estate licensed was renewed. At that time, I became employed by an RV lot developer. Duties included not only selling the new model homes that were built on the property but also worked in the rental arena.

Customer service is extremely important as well as filling a need and finding that niche for your prospective buyers. All these past experiences certainly come into play when working with the public.

Katie has a broad spectrum of experience in the Real Estate field with over 17 years in the business. She began her career as an office manager for ERA Matt Fischer all of the property management and oversight of two offices. She then went on to become the Project Manager for The Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation for 4 years and assisted in recruiting large companies to Yuma to create jobs and enhance economic opportunity for the Yuma area. This led her to become involved with the Downtown Revitalization for Yuma Main Street as their Executive Director.
